Meet Anya

A lifelong love of the harp, shaped into an exceptional experience.

I found the harp when I was ten years old, and I have loved it ever since. What began as a fascination with its sound grew into years of dedicated study, solo performance, orchestral work, and the privilege of creating music for some of life’s most meaningful celebrations.

I’m a Chicago-based harpist with a Master of Music in Harp Performance from Northern Illinois University and a winner of the Midwest Harp Festival Competition. I have also freelanced with numerous orchestras throughout Chicagoland and the Midwest, performing in symphonic, chamber, sacred, and special-event settings.

For weddings, I bring that concert-level preparation into a warm and personal experience. I help couples select music that feels true to them, coordinate every cue carefully, arrive with generous setup time, and create an atmosphere that feels refined without ever feeling impersonal.

My repertoire ranges from classical and sacred music to modern pop, jazz, film scores, video-game music, and custom requests. After more than a decade with the harp, I still love the moment when the first notes change the feeling of an entire room.

Harp and piano lessons rooted in strong fundamentals and a love of music.

I offer private harp and piano lessons for children, teens, and adults. With 15 years at the piano and harp study that began at age ten, I tailor each lesson to the student’s age, experience, goals, and musical interests—building technique, note reading, rhythm, expression, and confidence. Beginners are welcome.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular Saturdays can book many months in advance. Reaching out as soon as your venue and ceremony time are confirmed gives you the best selection of dates.

Can you learn a special song?

Yes. Special requests are welcome when the song translates well to harp and there is enough time for arranging and preparation. Any additional arranging needs will be explained clearly in your quote.

Do you perform outdoors?

Yes, with a firm, level surface and complete protection from rain, direct sun, excessive heat, and strong wind. A covered backup location is required because the harp cannot be exposed to unsafe weather.

Can you play during a Catholic wedding Mass?

Yes. Sacred repertoire can be planned in coordination with your church’s music director, cantor, organist, or liturgy requirements.

Do you travel outside Chicago?

Yes. Weddings throughout Chicagoland, northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and select destination locations are welcome. Travel and access requirements will be included in your quote.
